Perfume Ceremony

Date: December 2014

Medium:  Interactive Performance, glass, scent, objects

Dimensions: 14 ft. x 10 ft. x 10 ft

Based on the concept of the Japanese Koh-Do Perfume Ceremony which involves natural scents and a game of memory, I performed as the character of the divine feminine in a built environment that included an altar, flowers and blown glass objects that were both decorative and tools for the ceremony. During the performance the pure ingredients of perfume are dispersed in the air as the Philippine myths behind the flowers are told.
